 This tour give you the essential sites of Thailand: Bangkok, Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai. You will see the King's Palace, Wat Pra Kaeo, the Reclining Buddha, the river cruise and more in Bangkok. In the northern mountains you will see Minority villages, the elephant shows, take a short elephant "safari", ride a bamboo raft down a river, see the beautiful Thai countryside, go to the border of Burma (Myanmar), the Golden Triangle and much more. Everywhere you go you will experience the wonderful hospitality of the Thai people, delicious Thai foods and their warm, friendly smiles and service.
If you want to experience the beaches, we can add an extension to Phuket, the Phi Phi islands and/or Ko Samuoi.

You will regain it on the return trip. | | Day 2 | Bangkok | You arrive in Bangkok where your guide will meet you, welcome you and transfer you to your hotel. | | Day 3 | Bangkok | Today you will go to the incredible Grand Palace with Wat Pra Kaeo. Later you will go to the National Museum. Thai traditional massage (2 hrs) Evening - Traditional Thai dinner with classical dances and traditional performances. | | Day 4 | Bangkok | Breakfast in hotel. We will give you a Bangkok canal tour with a visit to Wat Arun. After lunch your tour continues with a visit to the Golden Buddha & Reclining Buddha temples. Evening - Cruise along Chao Phya River with buffet dinner. | | Day 5 | Chiang Mai | After breakfast in the hotel you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Chiang Mai. There your guide will meet you and transfer you to your hotel. After you have settled in you will be given the City & Temples tour. Lunch & dinner at local restaurants. | | Day 6 | Chiang Mai | The day begins with a visit to the Doi Suthep, the ancient temple site. After lunch we will take you to the Handicraft "villages". Evening Option: The Night Market. | | Day 7 | Chiang Mai | After breakfast you will visit the Elephant Camp, take a one hour elephant ride, go on a bamboo raft and learn about the noble Asian elephant and the worker monkeys. You will also visit the Orchid Farm. Evening - Khantoke dinner with hill tribe dances. | | Day 8 | Chiang Rai | After breakfast you will go on an excursion to visit the hilltribe villages, where you will meet the Aca, the Hmong, Yao and the Karen. Lunch will be at local restaurants along the way. Then you will arrive in Chiang Rai and check into the hotel. Dinner at a local restaurant. | | Day 9 | Chaing Rai | The day begins with a drive to the Burmese border, where there are many interesting sights. Then you will visit the historic Golden Triangle where three countries share a border, Thailand, Laos and Burma (Myanmar). You will see the small Opium Museum and where two rivers join the three nations. Then you will take a ride on a small river boat to the Burmese side and stop on a small island owned by Laos. You will then take the evening flight from Chiang Rai to Bangkok, where your guide will meet you and transfer you to your hotel. B, L, D | | Day 10 | Bangkok | Breakfast in hotel. Transfer to airport. Depart Chiang Mai for Bangkok. You can continue onto another destination in Thailand or back to your home country. |
